Flash: The Magical Tool

Technology is on the roll and new developments are almost as frequent as our breath. How is it possible that Website designing will not join the race when, it itself plays an anchoring roll in the market of electronic media? When more and more websites keep flooding the market with the charm of beautiful flash designs, Flash and ActionScripts have become the primary designing tools. In the times when the people are looking for high speed, smooth navigation, unique content and attractive websites, Flash has something to offer.

Previously known as Shockwave Flash, Adobe Flash later in the recent past came to be known as Macromedia Flash but later on it became popular as Flash. By end of 20th century, Flash technology was successful in giving highly interactive and appealing websites to the world. Animation in website design knew only one language, Flash! Creating animated series, adding videos to the website, web advertisements everything was possible with Flash. No doubt, Flash based website designs gained popularity with a speed that was faster enough than expected.

Simple words may not be enough to explain the qualities of flash. A vivid description is probably something that will help you in deciding the kind of website that you want to design. There are many advantages of Flash based website designs. They are:

Interactive: Flash based websites are highly interactive by nature. Did you ever have a look at the websites, which offer flash games, or the ones, which provide e learning courses? Probably, these sites hold the top positions in the Favorites list of your web browser. These websites are very appealing and interactive by nature and invites more traffic.

Expressions: The power of expression is probably the thing that makes human beings unique on the planet earth. Adobe Flash makes use of this feature and leaves a long lasting impression on the human minds by animations and designs that bear the gene of beauty and visual expression. This feature highly affects the traffic and popularity.

Presentation: When it comes to advertisement, Flash probably remains the smartest choice. Because of the visual appeal that Flash can give to the website design, the buying habits of people is highly effected. Product demonstration using flash animation can not only make the website popular but also help in increasing the sales and profit.

However, remember that any silver lining that you adore has an eclipse related to it. If Flash based website designs have positive aspects, they also have some negatives to offer!

Search Engine Optimization: Flash based websites are not very search engine friendly. Indexing the contents for a flash website is a difficult job for the search engines robots. This gives a lower ranking to the website.

Time Consuming: Flash files are heavy and takes a long time to load. This makes the Flash based Websites slow and can be annoying for some people.

Dynamic Websites: In case the website is dynamic, flash is difficult to use. Programming is to be converted to HTML followed by Flash designs. This is difficult and time consuming.

Roads cannot always be easy. Despite the shortcomings of the Flash based websites, Adobe Flash has earned a kind of popularity that cannot be decreased. Flash offers a whole new world of captivating designs. All you need to do is to sit back and enjoy!
