Our website is currently under construction, http:www.jmsbusinesssolutions.com When it comes to one's web design, there are several concepts that one would either agree or disagree with. Right from the colors used for the website to where the Google Adsense should be placed, there are heated debates about everything related to web designing. Let us first consider the color, or as we call it in the web designing circles, the color combination of a website.
If you are making a website for a firm, institution or company that already has their colors in place; it would be a good idea to use the same colors for their website. Companies and firms spend a lot of money for their branding and to create a brand for themselves. Also, a website is nothing but a expanse of a person, firm or company's real time existence and there is simply no way that a company's website can have a different color than what is or are globally known as the company's color or color scheme.
That brings us to the common and generic color combinations used by web designers all over the world. Quite frustratingly, blue has become a common color all over the world for web designers. In fact, most web designers would consider any combination to do with blue to be the safest combination around. Quite frankly, if your web designer comes back to you with only one blue colored template, it is time to look for a new web designing outfit, because that is very definitely the mark of a lazy web designer.
That brings us to the color black. Most web designers and clients reading this would be already laughing their heads off about using black as a background color. Certainly, black does not suit all assignments, but there are some assignments where the color black can work magic. If you ever have a website that is image oriented than text oriented, you can dabble in the color black. The black color will actually add more zest to your images and pictures. In addition, there are several niches wherein the color black does play a major role. Many websites pertaining to action movies have a black background, but have a white text box placed over which they put in all the text that is needed. Some physical sports websites, like the professional wrestling, etc, have the color black as a background.
The color black can also be used as background if you wish to make a welcome page for any website, or website that will have a minimum amount of text. If a webpage has only one or two lines of text in it, and the background of the page is black, it does add a lot of weight to the solitary one or two sentences.
However, using black color for a website, which is text heavy, would result badly for you. With the growing decrease of concentration and attention spans of people, there are many chances that a person may shut down a black background website even before they know what the website is all about.
