One of the most powerful marketing methods is viral marketing. Viral marketing can be performed in a number of ways but anything that makes others want to tell their friends about, is a successful viral campaign. Some ideas include: creating a humorous movie, writing a controversial article or writing a free ebook.

Forums (also know as message boards) are great for marketing not only your website but also yourself. Become an authority figure by writing high quality posts and if allowed add your websites URL in your signature and watch people flood to your website. Although it will cost you money, advertising your website on a similar website to yours is an effective method of attracting new visitors. Keep in mind text links ads are better much more effective than banner ads, and will probably cost less anyway.
